H.R. 3150, Criminal Alien Accountability Act, would deter illegal-alien reentry by establishing mandatory minimum sentences for aliens who reenter the United States after being removed and for persons who assist aliens in reentering the United States.
H.R. 3381, the L-1 Nonimmigrant Reform Act, would provide much needed protections for American workers by preventing employers using the L-1 visa to hire foreign workers from displacing American workers to hire L-1s.
H.R. 1770 would require employers at critical infrastructure sites, including federal, state and local government buildings; military bases; nuclear energy sites; weapons sites; and airports, to participate in the Basic Pilot program to verify the identity and employment eligibility of employees.

A bill to amend section 212 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to make inadmissible individuals who law enforcement knows, or has reasonable grounds to believe, seek entry into the United States to participate in illegal activities with criminal gangs located in the United States.
The bill would authorize funds for joint federal, state, and local investigation and prosecution of gangs in the United States. [Note: The bill has few provisions that directly affect immigration, but since gangs are heavily comprised of aliens, especially illegal aliens, it would result in better enforcement and higher removal rates.]

H.R. 2933, the Alien Gang Removal Act, would prohibit members of violent criminal gangs from receiving Temporary Protected Status and make aliens who are members of violent criminal gangs inadmissible and deportable.
H.R. 1438, the No Social Security for Illegal Immigrants Act, would prohibit work performed while an alien is unlawfully present in this country to count toward qualifying for Social Security benefits.
H.R. 3262, the Employee Verification Accountability Act, would eliminate the series of fines ranging from $250 to $10,000 that current law provides for employers who hire illegal aliens and replace them with a single fine of $10,000 per violation.

H.R. 698, the Citizenship Reform Act, would end the automatic granting of U.S. citizenship to more than 300,000 anchor babies born to illegal-alien mothers in the United States each year.
H.Con.Res. 50 was a concurrent resolution asking the President to refrain from transmitting the U.S.-Mexico totalization agreement to Congress. The U.S.-Mexico totalization agreement would reward certain illegal aliens from Mexico with Social Security benefits and potentially serve as an incentive for illegal immigration.
H.R. 368, the Driver’s License Security and Modernization Act, would require states to verify that an applicant for a state-issued driver's license or ID card is legally in the country before issuing the card.
H.R. 418, the REAL ID Act, would set federal standards for the the issuance of driver's licenses and a legal presence requirement that would make illegal aliens ineligible for driver's licenses. As well, H.R. 418 would tie the driver's license expiration date of a temporary visa holder to the expiration date of their visa so that those who enter the country legally as visa holders, but become illegal aliens by overstaying their visas, will not have a valid driver's license after the date of the expiration of their visa.
H.R. 19 would expand the voluntary pilot program that currently allows employers to verify an employee's legal status by making the program mandatory nationwide and phasing it in over seven years.
H.R. 98, the Illegal Immigration Enforcement and Social Security Protection Act, would increase penalties against employers who hire illegal aliens and require employers to verify the legal status of potential employees who will be required to hold new Social Security cards with biometric identifiers. In addition, H.R. 98 calls for hiring 10,000 new Homeland Security Department investigators to enforce the law.
H.R. 1219, the SAFE for America Act, would eliminate the visa lottery that each year gives 50,000 green cards to people without any regard to humanitarian need, family connections, or potential contribution to the U.S.
H.R. 925, the Identification Integrity Act, would make it harder for illegal aliens to gain government services and to otherwise profit from their illegal activity by prohibiting federal agencies from accepting foreign issued IDs (except for passports).
S. 1362, the Homeland Security Enhancement Act, would clarify state and local law enforcement's ability to enforce immigration laws. The legislation would reduce the flow of new illegal aliens into the United States and also begin to slowly and steadily reducing the current illegal population.
H.R. 3137, the CLEAR Act, would bring our 700,000 state and local law officers on the beat with respect to immigration crimes and allow local law enforcement officials to detain and process illegal aliens, thus increasing interior enforcement. Of the many provisions of the CLEAR Act, some of the most important provide for: training on local officers in immigration law enforcement, increased in formation sharing regarding violations of immigration law among various law enforcement agencies, and additional resources to local law enforcement and Homeland Security.
H.R. 780 would assure funding for additional Border Patrol agents for fiscal years 2006 through 2010.
H.R. 3322, the USA Jobs Protection Act, would implement reforms of the H-1B and L-1 visa programs aimed at preventing American high-tech workers from being displaced by foreign workers. It includes important protections for American workers, including prevailing wage and no-layoff provisions. It also extends current no-layoff provisions for H-1B dependent employers to all H-1B employers.

This bill would clarify state and local law enforcement’s inherent authority to enforce Federal immigration laws; and would overturn a decades-old court injunction that impedes the Federal government’s ability to remove aliens from El Salvador on an expedited basis.
