SCHUMER TRIES TO MOVE GOAL POSTS -- But American People Demand More Than Border Security As Price For Amnesty Conversation

It is as if Sen. Schumer (D-NY) and Pres. Obama are moving the goal posts to the 40-yard line and hope to convince a gullible America that it is the real goal line. They are trying to sell the idea that amnesty bills were defeated several times in 2007 merely because our southern border wasn't "secure." Now, they are claiming that just because arrests are down on the Mexican border that it proves the border is secure and Americans are ready to talk about amnesty. Folks, not only is the 40-yard line not the goal line, but the ball hasn't come close to crossing the 50-yard line yet.

Congress should act now on AgJobs bill

No Shortage of Farm Workers in Florida

Published:

The home building industry was one of the hardest hit with the onset of the current recession, and the impact sent an abundance of workers from the construction site to the farms. According to a report in the St. Petersburg Times, farmers in suburban Tampa’s Plant City saw no shortage of farm workers this spring despite the efforts of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Rep. Adam Putnam (R-FL) who proposed the AgJOBS Amnesty late last week.

Farms and Immigrants

The immigration system, broken in a thousand places, needs a multitude of fixes, from the borders to the workplace to the status of would-be Americans waiting in limbo overseas and toiling in shadows here. A new bill called AgJobs, introduced in the House and Senate, addresses some of those problems. It seeks to relieve chronic farm labor shortages while protecting rights and opportunities for immigrant workers.

Sixteen people were rescued, and the rest are presumed dead. Autopsies of the recovered bodies were to be conducted.

Inside Obama's Hispanic strategy

Obama officials are focused on the fast-growing interior West and especially this state, which they believe the president lost only because it is John McCain’s home. With states such as Arizona adding congressional districts after the 2010 census – and thus electoral votes – turning the West into a Democratic bulwark could ensure a lock on the presidency, Obama’s strategists believe.

Vermont dairy farms count on illegal immigrants

Obama's Border Efforts to Focus on Technology

The Obama Administration and the Department of Homeland Security is trying to improve border security by using technology that failed pilot tests during the Bush administration. DHS is working on a five-year plan that will link tower sensors along the 2,000-mile Southern border, which the department believes will speed up border agent's response time to illegal aliens and drug smugglers.

An individual located in the Midwest who has a master’s degree, and is working towards a doctoral degree made the following assertions on her web site: 1) the United States promotes and fosters immigration from nations that are mostly composed of white Europeans; and 2) the United States attempts to cap immigration from Hispanic nations and nations that are majority non-white. If one educated person has these misconceptions, then many others may share it.

At Postville Raid Anniversary, Religious Leaders Make Mockery of Their Faith & Ethics

The intellectual bankruptcy and juvenile morality of trendy open-borders clergy is on embarrassing public display during events marking the first anniversary of ICE raids of the Postville, Iowa kosher meatpacking plant. Many of these are the same clergy who remained silent for years as the meatpacking plant physically endangered its workers and violated child laborers. Like witnesses to clerical pedophilia, these clergy allowed the meatpacker workers to be chewed up by an immoral corporation and now blame immigration laws for the collapse of the business.

Obama to Request Additional Funding for Border Security

Pres. Barack Obama is expected to ask Congress for an additional $27 billion for border and transportation security along the Southwestern border. The move would help fulfill a promise to the Mexican government to stop the flow of guns across the border and will also likely set the stage for immigration reform and Amnesty by putting the focus on border security first.

Schumer Can't See 13 Million Jobless Americans In His Political Rush To Pass Amnesty

Did you think Senators might be too smart this year -- or too moral or at least too embarrassed -- to push for more foreign workers while millions of Americans are losing their jobs?

Such modest faith in U.S. Senators was dashed yesterday by the Senate Judiciary Committee in a first hearing of its immigration panel.

Senators made it clear that they are hopeful that the American people will let them pass the amnesty this year that was blocked in 2007.

Immigration compromise merely a drop in the ocean of immigration reform

Maryland legislators this week breathed a sigh of relief as they passed a compromise on drivers' license legislation and avoided having to stay in Annapolis for a special session. The compromise would allow illegal aliens to renew their Maryland drivers' licenses through 2015, bringing Maryland into compliance with a federal law called the Real ID Act of 2005. However hard fought, this compromise still doesn't resolve the fundamental issues of immigration policy in Maryland.

But the compromise plan suggests Amnesty with a non-political committee that will regulate the flow of immigration workers based on economic conditions.
