Pew: 71% of 'Dreamers' are 21 or over

Published:

According to the Pew Research Center’s analysis of USCIS’ latest report, 71% of those who have received the DACA amnesty are 21 years of age or older. This means that most of the “Dreamers” are adults who are currently competing with American workers for jobs.

29% of DACA recipients are between the ages of 16-20.

The analysis also shows that only about 690,000 out of the possible 800,000, are currently enrolled in the DACA program. Out of the 110,000 who are no longer receiving DACA benefits 70,000 did not renew or had their renewal applications denied. 40,000 DACA recipients have received legal status and green cards.
