Burdened by Illegal Immigration, Mexico Develops Border Patrol

The Mexican government, increasingly plagued by illegal immigration from south of its border, is in the process of forming its own border patrol, Breitbart and a San Antonio radio station report. U.S. Rep Henry Cuellar (D-Tex.) is helping the Mexican government in the hope that their border patrol with reduce the flow of OTMs – Other Than Mexicans – into the United States.

Mexico’s illegal aliens are mostly from Central and South America, although the country has also become a staging area for Chinese, Indians and others who hope to someday enter the U.S. These aliens make up large percentages of those illegally closing our border today.

WOAI 1200 San Antonio reports that,"Now that Mexico's birth rate has stabilized, and it's economy is improving, Mexico more and more finds itself victimized by illegal immigrants." The station says the Mexican government is considering employing a border patrol on both borders. Those agents stationed at the northern border could be used to stem the flow of illegal aliens and drugs headed for the U.S.

Cuellar told WOAI he is allegedly assisting the Mexican government. He said, "A lot of people coming in are not Mexicans, they are from Central America and South America. On Mexico's border with Guatemala it is like a UN in many ways…If we coordinate with them, I think we will do a much better job of securing our common border so drugs and undocumented immigrants don't pass into the United States."

Cuellar is reportedly interested in having the U.S. fund part of the the Mexican border patrol. But Zack Taylor, Chairman of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers, told Breitbart that the U.S. should first worry about securing its own border. "Mexico's southern border is Mexico's problem," Taylor said. "We should not be telling other countries what they should do when we ourselves are not willing to do it. Let's lead by example, please."
