The H-2B visa program is gaining attention from a bipartisan group of senators here on Capitol Hill who believe it will grow jobs.
But those against the bill don't like these jobs not going to America workers.

Chmielenski's group advocates for lower immigration levels.

“If these hometown newspapers are going to start covering these list … that’s certainly going to pressure these sanctuary city politicians,” he said.
Chmielenski noted the Trump administration also has threatened to cut off federal funding to sanctuary jurisdictions.

Rye said many illegal immigrants are fleeing violence and suggested it is immoral to discourage them from trying to cross the U.S. border illegally.
