Senate immigration bill will 'collapse' U.S. occupations
An immigration reduction advocacy organization is running television and radio ads in 18 states to expose the dangers of the Senate immigration bill that would give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.
The ad, paid for by NumbersUSA, points out that S. 744 rewards millions of illegal immigrants with work permits, imports millions more new foreign job seekers and asks Americans to trust that the government will enforce immigration laws someday in the future.
Roy Beck, founder and president of NumbersUSA, tells OneNewsNow the measure is not just about amnesty for 11 million illegal aliens.
"The bill is far worse than that," he asserts. "In all, this bill in the first ten years alone would give out 33 million lifetime work permits to foreign citizens, including these 11 million illegals, to compete at every level of the labor market with Americans."
While more than 20 million American citizens are looking for work right now, those who do find certain jobs will have their wages depressed because of the glut of so much cheap foreign labor.
"We're going to see more occupations collapse, just like the roofing occupation has collapsed," the NumbersUSA founder warns. "So many construction trades like dry-walling have collapsed. Meat packing has gone from being a high middle-class wage into a near poverty wage. This bill will collapse one occupation after another all across America."
Meanwhile, Beck does not think most Americans have any idea of what is about to be done to them.
