We're Delivering Your Petitions Every Day -- To Keep Illegal Aliens From Putting Americans Out Of Work
We delivered petitions to Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid again this morning -- 10,503 of them.
We delivered 22,520 on Wednesday morning. And 38,845 on Tuesday morning.
That makes 71,868 so far this week. The offices are politely accepting them each day.
Each petition has been delivered one at a time electronically to the White House as it has been signed.
The NumbersUSA staff have also spoken in cities across the country via radio shows spreading the same message: Congress needs to keep in the Homeland Security spending bill all the Senate-passed protections of U.S. workers to stop illegal aliens from taking their jobs.
We have also this week processed tens of thousands of your faxes into congressional offices reminding them that a lot of Americans are paying close attention to what happens. And we know that large numbers of you have been making phone calls. Thanks to all of you who are standing up for American workers.
Read my "U-6 Unemployment" blog for groups with incredibly high joblessness who especially need our help in requiring E-Verify to open up jobs currently held by illegal foreign workers.
Read my blog from last weekend on what we have to gain/lose and how that might happen through secret back-room details over the next week or so.
Although the mainstream media has a news blackout on the great amendments added by the Senate last week, they could be the most important thing to happen for putting Americans back to work of everything done this year in Washington.
Most U.S. voters agree with the majority of the Senate that their government should not force at least 7 million Americans to be unemployed by allowing 7 million people from other countries to illegally settle in this country and currently hold manufacturing, service and construction jobs.
Speaker Pelosi and Leader Reid in February killed provisions that would have transferred hundreds of thousands of jobs from illegal aliens to unemployed Americans.
Now, the Homeland Security bill would provide the same transfer, and we have every reason to believe that Pelosi and Reid are considering killing that transfer again.
Seven million Americans and their households are without paychecks, without employee benefits and possibly facing house foreclosures because successive Congresses and Presidents of both Parties have refused to require employers to use the E-Verify system to keep illegal aliens from holding U.S. jobs.
