Pennsylvania Man Sentenced for Helping Illegal Aliens Find Work
Jimmy Nguyen was sentenced to more than five years in prison and forced to pay more than $550,000 after running a business that helped illegal aliens find factory work in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Nguyen pleaded guilty in October to charges of money laundering and conspiracy.
Nguyen ran the Wilkes-Barre based H&T Staffing Services and was the last of six from the company to be sentenced. The staffing firm was paid $12 million between 2002 and 2007 to help fill open factory positions with illegal aliens. The company was charged in 2007 after an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Labor, state police and other agencies.
